Outdoor Entertaining

Outdoor living space - ideas to help you upgrade your outdoor entertaining space.

As Georgia nights have turned warmer and family dinners have moved from the dining room table to the backyard, there’s no doubt the season of outdoor entertaining is here. If you’re looking for simple ways to transform your outdoor space into an unforgettable oasis your guests will love for the remainder of summer, here are a few tips:

Rugs. No longer are rugs only for indoor living. An outdoor rug adds softness and style to any dinner party or afternoon backyard soirée.

Simple tablescape. When it comes to organizing your tablescape, keep things simple. Set out plates and utensils, add decorative elements, and let your food bring the rest of the flavor.

Cozy chairs. Use plush pillows, soft throw blankets, or faux fur chair covers to make your seating as comfortable for your guests as possible.

Heating. While summer temperatures in Georgia can famously climb to upwards of 95 degrees Fahrenheit, summer nights can get chilly, requiring a light jacket to stay warm. Preempt this nighttime cooling with an electric or infrared patio heater.

Flowers & candles. Set the scene with an array of fresh flowers. Opt for seasonal flower varieties for your bouquets like sunflowers, irises, or forget-me-nots. Place flowers in traditional vases, or use empty glass jars to set a rustic mood. For an evening celebration, bring out the candles to provide additional light and warmth to your gathering.
