We’re excited to announce that our agent websites now have new bio pages! As more and more consumers are doing their research online and interviewing multiple real estate agents before making a decision, you want to provide them with a great first impression! Your bio page can help consumers get to know you better, build your credibility with relevant facts, and communicate your unique value. Now, you can even add a video to your bio which is the most effective way to make a connection.
Here are some of the new features available…
- Advanced editor for multiple photos
- Video embed option
- Bio text area with and expand/read more option
- Designation and certification options
- Team name in addition to your personal name
- Dynamic buttons for bios including: Contact Us, Contact Me, Visit My Website, Visit Our Website, Members, Agents, Video Bio
Now let’s go through the steps to upgrade your bio page!
Step 1: If you don’t already have a bio written, type one up. Share your track record and relevant facts that describe your unique value.
Step 2: Now you will create a Bio Page
Step 3: Go to Site Builder>Collections>Interior Pages. Click the cabernet “ADD” button on the top left. Then click “Profile Pages,” then choose Bio Page from the Dropdown menu.
Step 4: Choose the type of bio page you want, then click “Create.” The newest templates are the Advanced Bio and Video Bio. What’s especially nice about these formats is your Zillow reviews will extend the width of the page which looks great!
Step 5: Now you’ll be back at your Interior Pages menu and look for the new line indicating “Bio-Slash-YourName”. Click the “Edit Page” button on the right.
Here are the steps to customize your bio…
Step 1: Click “Interior Pages” then “Bio Content”. This is where you can paste your bio.
Step 2: To change your photo, click “Page Editor” within “Interior Pages.” Click “Image Library” in the editor, then click the tab, “My Images.” If your headshot is already save here, select it, then click “Add My Image.” If not, upload your image and follow the prompts. Your photo will now appear in the “Page Editor” and be sure to scroll down and click “Save.”
Step 3: Click “Designations” to add your designations.
Step 4: To edit your Featured Properties and Sold Properties buttons, click Featured Properties, then Featured Settings. The default text for Featured Properties is “My Active & Pending Listings” and “My Sold Listings” for sold properties. You can edit these to your preferred titles.
Step 5: When complete, click “Publish Page.”
Finally, let’s look at how to add your Zillow Reviews!
Step 1: Look up your Zillow Username. Go to your Zillow profile and look at the end of your URL to see what your username is.
Step 2: Go to the Intranet and click on your picture in the upper right, then click Profile.
Step 3: Scroll almost all the way down your profile page and find the section called “Bio Reviews – Zillow.” Paste your Zillow Username here. Note: it’s not the URL, just the username.
Now you’re all set! You have a professional bio page with full bio, headshot or video, professional designations, Zillow reviews, featured properties, and sold properties. Prospective clients will see your professionalism, unique value, and track record of success. Then they will choose to hire YOU to be their trusted guide in the increasingly complex world of real estate.
Now That’s Good to Know!
