Dan Forsman outlines the steps you need to take now to prepare your business for 2018.

The Holidays are approaching fast…and what better time to reconnect with people.  As this year is winding down…I’d like to offer two challenges.   First…. Focus on consistent prospecting to finish the year strong and plant seeds for early spring listings.  Secondly – Start working now …..on next year’s strategy and business plan.

Today we are kicking off a new video series … for 2018 Business Strategy and Planning.  In the first two weeks of November …. look for our Business Plan SURGE. This will be a great opportunity to help you complete your plans and be ready to have your best year ever in 2018.

In order to work smarter and take your business to a higher level…. It’s important to go back a couple of years… and take a hard look at your performance levels. Understand the true math of your business…look at things like units….sales volume… and gross commission  income for Buyers, Sellers, Referrals and… don’t forget TeamBuilder Income.

Now let’s factor in sources like: your sphere of influence…..geographic farms…. online marketing…. neighborhood marketing for MEGA Open House events….expired listings ….and For Sale By Owners.

If you’re actively tracking your monthly performance …you can also see the peaks and valleys in the business.

Now let’s turn to this year’s goals.  What did you accomplish?  And how do you expect the year to end?   Consider the following questions.

  • How can you work smarter and manage your time more effectively
  • How consistent were you in generating appointments
  • Did your marketing ….build your image and help generate more appointments
  • Were you ready with talking points…to appropriately handle concerns and or objections
  • How successful were you in communicating your value and worth to win clients and earn full commissions
  • Did you allow yourself to be coached
  • Were you accountable for your actions
  • Were you in control of your business
  • Did you make the money you expected … to live the life you want
  • And finally ….were you able to find a good balance between work and life

 

Now let’s turn to the competition. Who stood out and why?  Take a look at your competition and fellow associates…. Who was successful and why???

2018 can be a year of opportunities.  We are living in a new era… where change is happening faster.  And change present opportunities!  Are you going to be the next incredible success story???  Why not?… Why not You?  Successful people have one thing in common…. They all have a business strategy and they all execute their business plan.
