Welcome to Real Estate Redefined. I am Dan Forsman.
The two activities that can transform your real estate career are CONVERSATIONS and APPOINTMENTS. Real estate is a relationship business. Consumers do business with agents they trust. There are thousands of consumers that need and value the guidance of a skilled real estate professional. We simply need to reach them and have conversations and appointments to understand their needs and help them achieve their goals.
Real estate is also a sales business. The more people you talk to and the more people you meet with – the more you can help. Helping more people translates to more closings – which translates to greater earnings. Higher earnings allow you to give more, do more for your family and enjoy the pursuit of happiness at a different level.
As we finish 2018 and get ready for 2019, I would encourage you to make CONVERSATIONS and APPOINTMENTS a priority for 2019. We have a strategic partnership with the Tom Ferry organization and have provided all our associates a powerful business planning system. You can establish your business goal and work back through the math to identify the number of CONVERSATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS you need every week to achieve your goal. Now you can organize your calendar and track your progress every week. Our company just finished an amazing 6-Week SURGE program designed to connect to past clients, get more reviews and generate appointments.
Week 1 was to connect with past clients. We provided each agent a list of their past clients going back to the last 5 years.
Week 2 focused on Zillow Reviews.
Week 3 highlighted Google My Business profiles to get Reviews and be found online.
Week 4 activities included LinkedIn profiles to get skill endorsements and recommendations.
In Week 5, we launched our new Zillow 3D Home Tours. We are the official launch partner for this innovative new program that helps our clients stand out on the #1 real estate website in the world.
In Week 6, we took all the updated past client contact information and loaded to our CRM to create or update Past Client groups to stay connected in 2019. We also introduced a new Holiday Home Marketing Program that allows sellers to take advantage of truly qualified holiday buyers with minimal disruption during the holiday season.
I am pleased to report that this program was a huge success. There are hundreds of success stories across our company. Everyone gets busy and it is too easy to lose touch with past clients who love our associates and appreciate what they helped them accomplish. Relying on newsletters and emails to stay connected is not enough. Going back to the basics on CONVERSATIONS AND APPOINTMENTS is making the difference.
